KIT FENCE CONTRUCTION TIPS

1. Locate telephone, gas, water before digging
2. Mark post locations and double check measurements
3. Dig holes approximately 600mm deep
4. Place both outside posts in position, check heights and concrete in place making sure all levels are correct
5. Run string lines across tops and in front of outside posts and place remaining post to string line
6. Re-check all measurements and levels. Allow to set
7. Fit plinth boards between feature posts, making sure levels and heights are correct. Nail with 75mm galvanized nails
8. Fit rails so that the back of the plinth is level with the front of the rail. Nail using 75mm galvanized nails
9. Cut pickets to required length and fix to rails using two 50mm galvanized nails per rail
10. FILL, SEAL, SAND and PRIME ENTIRE FENCE NOW

To complete your fence, allow the timbers to "season" for up to two weeks before applying the first coat. Prior to the second top coat (up to 6 weeks after the first) fill and sand entire fence - this will prevent surface splits from developing.
